CORNERSTONE SENIOR HIGH:

Cornerstone

Cornerstone is our senior high program for students in grades 9-12 and is led by Brandon Huffman, along with a group of adult C-Group leaders and program staff.

The Cornerstone program includes:

  • Cornerstone group on Sunday evenings in The Summit from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. where there are Biblically-based talks which address topics relevant to this age group; a time of singing, and games.
  • Sunday School.
  • Retreats (Winter Retreat & The Great Escape in the Fall).
  • Summer Mission Trips (2010 Trip: Washington D.C.).
  • Recreational Activities.
  • Ministry Opportunities.

C- Groups

C-groups (Core Groups) are small groups offered to all 9th—12th graders. These groups are divided by grade and gender and meet along with their C-Group leaders on Wednesday's (unless otherwise noted) during the school year. The purpose of each C-group is Bible study, prayer, and fellowship.

The Ninth Grade Guys meet in one half of the basement and the Ninth Grade Girls meet in the other half of the basement.  The Tenth Grade Guys meet in Room 2731 (next to the Summit) and the Tenth Grade Guys meet at C-Group Leaders homes. The Eleventh Grade Girls meet in the Intern Office while the Eleventh Grade Guys meet at C-Group Leaders homes. The Twelfth Grade Girls meet at C-Group Leaders homes while the Twelfth Grade Guys meet at C-Group Leaders homes.

To get directions or the location of your particular offsite C-Group, call Brandon at the church at 253-859-3247.

Sunday School

Sunday School takes place Sunday mornings in the Summit.  We start out with worship, then continue with a teaching. It includes an alternating schedule of 8 weeks of study from one of the books of the Bible, and 8 weeks of study about relevant Biblical and Christian worldview topics designed specifically for senior high students.  In the Winter of 2010 we'll be studying The Book of Acts.
